About Gold Coast Home Inspection:

Company Profile
After several years in the residential construction industry in all aspects of the business, including being a General Contractor. The need for qualified inspectors became evident. I would come across issues on a daily basis working with clients in remodels as a GC saying they purchased their home in this condition and had no idea of the problems that existed. A friend asked for me to look at a home he was interested in purchasing. He had already had an inspection done. I looked over the 3 page inspection with a hand full of photos and barely 2 written paragraphs. After looking over the house, I found several issues the inspector had missed and informed my friend about them. He asked the sellers to fix the issues I had found and was credited $2500 at closing to repair the issues as he saw fit. This again alerted me at how many unqualified inspectors there were. When I discovered at the time no formal license was required, I realized why this was the case. Since that time, a stringent licensing process has been implemented, which eliminated some of the unqualified inspectors. But, after seeing many reports from customers who had previously received a sub par inspection and had requested me to re-inspect the home, it was apparent this is still a common problem. This is why we focus on performing the highest quality, most detailed, and easy to read report in the timeliest fashion.
